Jennifer “Jen” Heath proudly announces her candidacy for Mayor of Brookhaven, Ga.

Jennifer loves the Brookhaven community she calls home. She has spent the last  five years working tirelessly to find a better way for the city to communicate with the residents and business owners regarding important issues.  With the recent growth of the city she united her fellow citizens to take action and help get information to all the residents so that they could be informed when making their decisions. A city should be transparent to the people that enable its existence.

Her passion to see Brookhaven be its best is what has driven her to run for Mayor. Our city is at a crossroad and like you she wants to work together and create a truly bright future for all of us, together.  Creative solutions, out of the box ideas, working together block by block, neighbor with neighbor we can achieve great things.  From day one Jen will work with the community to achieve a brighter future for Brookhaven.

Letter: Heath would bring needed change as Brookhaven mayor

Over the last few years, I’ve noticed some disturbing trends in our lovely city. The city administration has grown immensely, yet common sense tells me our small city doesn’t need this bureaucracy. I see trees cut down, more traffic, more fences and cement structures in our parks, more buildings going up and more spending. It doesn’t fit with why we said we wanted our city to be a city!

That is why I am voting for Jen Heath for mayor. I attended the recent mayoral forum and heard Jen’s perspective on “our city of neighborhoods.” I liked what I heard.

Jen is not a politician. She wants to serve the residents of Brookhaven, not build a political career. I like that! She has years of real business, leadership, financial and management experience. She has worked to set priorities, effectively allocate resources and achieve goals with limited funds and within set timelines. This is the experience necessary to lead and manage the city of Brookhaven.

Jen Heath challenges Ernst for mayor

Jennifer Heath filed to run for mayor on the final day of qualifying. Heath helped found the We Are Brookhaven homeowners’ organization in 2016 following dissatisfaction with the City Council’s leadership on issues including the Brookhaven-Oglethorpe MARTA Station redevelopment and development along Dresden Drive.
